Boomhall Trust is a Charitable Trust dedicated to conserving and restoring the estate of Boomhall for public benefit.

The Place

The Boomhall Estate comprises of an 18th century country house built by James and Robert Alexander around 1779. The house is set on a 60-acre site on the banks of the river foyle with a walled garden, stables, courtyard, historic landscape and an ancient woodland containing 300 year old oak trees.

The Challenge

This is an exceptional eighteenth century estate and landscape set on the River Foyle which is of international significance. Professional assessments warn that the historic fabric of the buildings and parkland will deteriorate beyond redemption and lose financial and historic value unless investment in restoration and conservation happens soon.

The Vision

To conserve and open the landscapes and buildings at Boomhall for everyone who wants to be at peace with nature, each other and within themselves.
